Ya wanna know what really disgusts me? The result of people stretching their lobes too quickly. So let me set the scene for you:
On a HIGHLY regular basis, I go to BMEzine to look at all the pretty modified people. One of my favorite sections on BME is the one about ears, most especially the pictures of large gauge lobes. However, more and more as of late, I've been seeing these revolting photographs of people's wrecked lobes. All the pictures of blowout, twisted flesh, and horribly misshapen ears (to which large lobes aren't really that well suited) are really starting to get to me.
To me, the purpose of stretching my lobes (now at a happy, healthy 5/8") was to achieve a unique aesthetic, my own strange perception of beauty. You may think my ears look retarded; I really couldn't give less of a shit. But you have to agree with me: people really need to be re-educated on what the real reason for body modification is. It's not to freak people out, or to impress people with how big and how fast you can stretch. I really don't appreciate how our modern need for speed and ease has put such pressure on people to deform themselves like that.
But that's just my opinion :)

Actually, I really didn't celebrate Halloween at all. The reason, you ask? Well, my Math 222 teacher (who happens to be an insomniac or something) forgot that the 31st of October had any special designation as a worldwide day of celebration and mischief. So he scheduled a midterm to be on the DAY after Halloween.
Well, on the bright side, the exam wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be, especially after the nightmare that was the first midterm. So yeah :) I studied Halloween night, as all of my friends NOT in math 222 with me got drunk off their asses and celebrated :D
Does it interest you, watching me like that? What about me do you find so captivating? I am nothing.
